Financial assistance application guide – LogisVert Efficient Homes Program | Heat Pumps

Have you recently bought a heat pump—or perhaps you’re thinking of installing one? Under Hydro‑Québec’s LogisVert Efficient Homes Program, you could receive up to $6,700 in financial assistance for the purchase and installation of an eligible heat pump.

This guide outlines the steps to take in order to submit an application that meets program requirements. Although compliance with these steps does not guarantee automatic approval of your application, it increases your chances of success by helping you avoid common mistakes.

Before you begin

Check eligibility

Before starting to fill out an application, it is essential to check your eligibility and gather the required documentation.

You must meet the conditions below:

  • Own a residential dwelling located in Québec that is suitable for year-round living, is supplied with electricity from the Hydro‑Québec grid or from an off‑grid, municipal or cooperative system, and that meets all program criteria.
  • Have purchased in Québec a new heat pump that is on the LogisVert list of eligible models and has been installed in an eligible home.

Gather the required documents

You will need the following three supporting documents:

Your municipal property tax bill from the current year

The name and address must match those indicated on the other documents submitted.

Proof of purchase and installation

The invoice must include the following:

  • Company’s name
  • Invoice number and date
  • Installation date
  • Description of the heat pump
  • AHRI number
  • Total cost
  • Confirmation of payment in full
  • Company’s GST/QST numbers
  • Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) licence number of the company

  • The photo should be taken before the unit is installed, if possible.
  • The model and serial numbers must be clearly visible.

During the application process

Create a LogisVert profile

Once your documents are ready, you can start the online application process. Here’s a step‑by‑step guide:

  • Click on “Submit an application” on the main page of the LogisVert Program.
  • (Note that, from here on in, the application process is in French.) Click on “Se connecter” and then “Créer un profil”.
  • Enter your personal information as it appears on your supporting documents.

Complete the form

The form has five sections:

  1. Information on the measures
    • Select your status (homeowner or tenant) and type of home.
    • Get an estimate of your financial assistance.
  2. Installation address
    • Manually enter your address or select it from the list.
  3. Supporting documents
    • Upload your municipal property tax bill, a photo of the nameplate and proof of purchase and installation.
  4. Information on the applicant (individual or business)
    • Enter the requested information.
  5. Review and submission
    • Carefully review all the information.
    • Please note that your application may be turned down if it contains any errors or if any of the required documentation is missing.

After submission

Once you’ve submitted your application, you just need to check its status and—if your application is successful—receive the financial assistance.

Receiving financial assistance

If your application is approved, you’ll receive a cheque in the mail. You can track the status of your application directly in your LogisVert profile.

Common mistakes to avoid

Avoid these common mistakes that can cause your application to be turned down:

  • Incomplete or illegible documents
  • Inconsistency between the name and address on the invoices, property tax bill and LogisVert profile
  • Missing AHRI number or company’s RBQ licence number
  • Blurry or missing photo of the nameplate
